Secluded Lakefront Retreat | Delaware Water Gap, PA
A huge and updated house with an amazing piece of lakefront property. Very secluded and private. Great views from all rooms and the deck. The house is situated on top of a mountain so not only do you get lake views, you also get fantastic mountain top views in the winter, when the trees have no leaves.
The house sits directly on a 10 acre private lake with no other houses in sight on the lake. Boating and fishing is permitted but swimming is not allowed. We like to go swimming at a nearby County owned lake (small fee) and a natural and secluded beach at the Delaware River, both within 5 miles.
The lake house has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an updated kitchen, dining area, huge deck with plants, indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit, 2 kayacks, propane barbeque grill, and lots of books. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a private bathroom. One bedroom has a full size bed and the other bedroom has bunkbeds. There is a futon in the living area.
There is high speed wireless internet. There is NO TV but you could watch online movies from your device. We believe a television is a distraction when you are here. There are lots of books, a couple of guitars, games, and of course lots of nature.
Everything you need is provided including linens, towels, kitchen stuff. We use green cleaning products and supply New York City tap water for drinking and cooking. The well water is very safe for drinking but has a slight sulfur odor sometimes.
Neighborhood is quiet and there are no neighbors in sight on the lake. There are a few restaurants, a bank, delis, beer depot, and general stores nearby in Dingmans Ferry. Also nearby is Milford (12 miles), a charming and well maintained little historic town with shopping, art galleries, and restaurants.
We strive to make your stay memorable and enjoyable by providing a high level of service. However the truth is the surrounding nature and wildlife will provide what you really are looking for.
